Welcome Back Antelope Trails! We look forward to seeing each new and returning student for the start of a fantastic school year. This year our theme is One World, Many Stories. Each of us has a story to tell and we look forward to hearing yours.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL MORNING ARRIVAL:
1st-5th grade will meet on the blacktop/playground area on the south-east side of the building. Teachers will be holding their class sign.
Kindergarten students are to arrive at their scheduled time on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, or Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Kindergarten parents received an email and letter with information on how to sign up for a scheduled half-day session. If you did not receive this information, or need help signing up, please call the school office at 719-234-4100.
Please remember to bring a nut-free snack and water bottle each day. Students may bring lunch or get lunch at no charge in the cafeteria. Click the link for the menu: https://academy.sodexomyway.com/landing/elem
Breakfast will be available for all students at no cost. Students will enter through the FRONT DOOR of the building beginning at 8:15am and go directly to the cafeteria. Breakfast will be served until 8:35am.
Bus riders can go to the cafeteria when they arrive.
Beginning Wednesday for 1st -5th grade students, and Thursday for Kindergarten, all students may enter the building each day with the first bell at 8:30am. and proceed to their classroom. Learning begins in the classroom with the second bell at 8:45am.

Elementary Literacy Testing Days – Students come to school at their assigned time for a 3-hour testing session. Parents are responsible for transporting their child for their assigned time - Buses will not run. Information on times will be sent home with students after the start of school.

SCHOOL HOURS: ATE school day will be 8:45am-3:50pm.
School Supplies and STUDENT FEES for 2024-2025 SY
$40 for school supplies (We provide all supplies, no supply list or shopping!!)
$40 for consumables (digital subscriptions, class parties, workbooks, headphones, etc.)
$55 for technology – We are a 1:1 device school. Every student K-2 will have usage of a D20 iPad, and every student Grades 3-5 will have usage of a D20 laptop to enhance their learning.

Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.To pay school and district fees, including transportation, click on the “Fees” tab on the left side of the screen.
Fees have been added to student accounts. Parents can pay online in the Infinite Campus parent portal, or by cash or check in the front office. Please make sure you send exact cash or indicate on your check that the money is for student fees. Please include your child and teacher's name.

STUDENT LUNCH ACCOUNT
Again, in this 24-25 School year all students can receive free breakfast and lunch if desired. If a student chooses, they may purchase a second entrée or a la cart items. In order to purchase a second entrée or a la cart item, students must have money in their lunch account. Parents have the option to have their children bring lunch from home, if preferred.
NUT-FREE SCHOOL
Please ensure that your child’s snack and lunch items do not contain nuts of any kind.
WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
If you would like to volunteer at our school, with the PTO, or on a field trip, you must complete a D20 Volunteer Application, undergo a CBI background check, sign a confidentiality agreement, and attend a volunteer training class. The first Volunteer Training is Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 9:30am. Additional sessions will be held in September, and throughout the year.

ARRIVING AT SCHOOL - Soft Entry Procedure
There will be NO outside morning supervision. Supervision of students begins at 8:30 a.m. Students will come into the building and go directly to their classroom where their teacher will greet them for the day.
The first bell will ring at 8:30 a.m. At that time, students may enter through the Northeast doors (by the Kiss-and-Go area) or the front entrance (bus students). Entrances are locked at all times. Staff are on duty to welcome students into the building between 8:30-8:45am.
The second bell will ring at 8:45 a.m. Students NOT IN THE BUILDING at 8:45 a.m. will be tardy and a parent will need to walk them into the building using the front doors to sign them in.
