Global warming is when global temperatures increase due to concentrations of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Climate change is when wind patterns and precipitation changes the weather over a long period of time. Both global warming and climate change increase the temperature of the earth. These things build up excess heat energy in the earth system. Both climate change and global warming are caused by humans.

Global warming

Global warming is when fossil fuels burn and when cutting down forests and farming livestock. All of these things increase the influencing temperature and climate of the earth. Global warming has a huge impact on this earth, and us. In the article, it says, “This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.” Global temperature has risen since the 20th century to about the late 1970s.

Climate change

Climate change is a long term thing caused by humans, this goes in shifts with weather patterns and temperature. Climate change can impact people’s health and not in a good way. In the article I read it says, “Conditions like sea-level rise and saltwater intrusion have advanced to the point where whole communities have had to relocate, and protracted droughts are putting people at risk of famine. In the future, the number of “climate refugees” is expected to rise.” Climate exchange cna be a good thing in some ways but it can also be a very bad thing. In the article I read it says Climate change “includes rising sea levels; shrinking mountain glaciers; accelerating ice melt in Greenland, Antarctica and the Arctic; and shifts in flower/plant blooming times. These are all consequences of warming, which is caused mainly by people burning fossil fuels and putting out heat-trapping gases into the air.”

Difference between Global Warming and Climate Change

Global warming and climate change are not the same thing. Most people think that they are but they both are unique and they have their differences. Global warming is just an aspect of climate change, but yet they still do different things. Long term warming of the plant is known to be global warming. “Climate change encompasses global warming, but refers to the broader range of changes that are happening to our planet.“ All in all, global warming and climate change have a huge impact on the earth and us as people.

Opioids Epidemic

Opioids (which the cdc defines as “A class of drugs that include the illegal drug heroin, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, and pain relievers available legally by prescription, such as oxycodone (OxyContin®), hydrocodone (Vicodin®), codeine, morphine, and many others.” are not a foreign topic. Many people have lost their lives and loved ones to the opioids epidemic which has been going on ever since around the year 2000 in the United States.

Historical Background

There was a wider distribution of prescribed opioids starting in the 1990s. Which is when the first wave of overdosing on opioids started. But then in 2010, the second wave hit with increased numbers in overdoses on heroin. Since then, the prescriptions in the states for opioids have decreased because of the amount of death and injury due to the drug.

Although there are still states that have a problem with opioid related drugs such as : Kentucky, West Virginia, Alaska, and Oklahoma.

Current

However, the mass production of opioids continued in Mexico and during the COVID 19 pandemic made its way over to the US which increased our more recent numbers in overdose related deaths and injuries.

As of 2021, at least 107,000 people died from accidental overdose on synthetic opioids. Additionally in 2020, there was an average of 44 people dying a day from prescription opioids. It is tragic.

End Overdose

There has been a company/movement to end overdose. Its goal is to end overdose related deaths through kits and education. They distribute naloxone kits, test strips, and train people in case of overdose. If interested in discovering more about End Overdose click here. They’re on Instagram, TikTok, and FaceBook where they post videos of how to be responsive and know what to do in case of an overdose.

End Overdose has saved many lives. The chances of surviving overdose is dangerously low so naloxone kits have saved many people’s lives. They do really cool things to help people and it is highly recommended to visit their site and see what they do. Overdoses can happen anywhere to anyone.

Closure

It is heartbreaking the amount of people have died or lost a loved one to overdosing on opioids and other such drugs. There are some ways to go in order to end overdose but if we all spread awareness and know what’s going on, it makes it much easier for these things to go away.

Marsha P. Johnson

Marsha P Johnson had a crucial impact on the LGBTQ+ community and activism all together. During her lifetime, she accomplished many amazing things.

Background

Marsha was born on August 24th, 1945 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to parents Malcom Michaels Sr., who Marsha was originally named after, and Alberta Claiborne.

Marsha P Johnson lived in New York in the 1940s-90s and was a huge advocate for gay & trans rights, homeless LGBTQ+ youth, and people with HIV or AIDS during the gay rights movement in the 1960s. She was also involved with the Stonewall uprising.

Marsha was a drag queen that used she/her pronouns; however, the term “transgender” would only be used and popularized after her death.

Growing up, Marsha had to turn to sex work as a form of money because there was no opportunity for people within the LGBTQ+ community at the time. She was often abused by clients and arrested by police. It was difficult and unfair to not only her but considering all the people within the community that might have taken the same way that Marsha did.

Marsha always said that the “P” in her name stood for “Pay it no mind” which was her motto. She also often told people that when asking about her gender. Her uprising was the reason she became the activist she was. She had such a big heart and so much sympathy for people in need and those who needed help.

Stonewall

Many people think that Marsha was the person that threw the first brick but this is false as she arrived at 2am. Marsha arrived at the scene to behold the sight of fires and riots. She saw police being unjust towards the people and she had no problem sticking it to the man and/or getting arrested. Reason being, she was arrested a lot growing up because she was a sex worker. Another reason being that she would have defended members of her community through anything.

Legacy

Marsha’s body was found floating in the Hudson river and police ruled it as a suicide. However, her friends and fellow activists have always been against and disagreed with this ruling because they all knew that even though the world that they lived in dragged her down, she still loved life.

Marsha’s activism and actions paved the way for many opportunities we have in our current world. Marsha walked so modern day LGBTQ+ activists could run. She will forever be remembered and admired.

Young Sheldon is an undeniably phenomenal show, with characters such as George Cooper Jr. and Meemaw carrying the plotline, what is there not to love? The only thing that isn’t favorable is understanding the show. With minor toyin’ around, we can change this factor: by watching the show in another foreign language, we can stop comprehending the show. This is where my proposal comes in, Young Sheldon in Portuguese.

Why Portuguese?

While the answer is unclear, watching Young Sheldon in Portuguese refers to ironic conspiracy theory memes and Sigma Grindest memes. AccoUrbandictionary.com describes Sigma Grindset as, “the superior mindset possessed by the male at the top of the social hierarchy, also known as the sigma. This grindset is often mentioned when the Sigma does something that may be considered based and redpilled (referring to The Matrix). Society (run by betas) views the Sigma as a threat. He is thus often a victim of societal ostracism for his intrinsically based nature. He is the victim of a systematic societal hate crime.” The meme of watching the popular TV show, Young Sheldon in Portuguese started on TikTok in Early 2023. With Joker symbolism, these memes quickly rose to stardom, proclaiming that liberals wanted to keep the show’s “secrets” away from the public.

On April 5th, 2023, TikToker @redpill_daily uploaded a now-deleted video on the popular video-sharing site. This post showed Heath Ledger’s rendition of The Joker slowly clapping, with the caption reading, “Millions MUST watch Young Sheldon in Portuguese / Billions, even”. Under this, it states that “Liberals want to keep this info a secret”.

On March 13th, 2023, TikToker @lem0nc0w uploaded a video using a Capcut template, a simpler way of editing photos and video clips together. With this template, @lem0nc0w referenced the popular Young Sheldon character, George Cooper, played by Lance Barber speaking Portuguese, despite the audio for the video being in Japanese. This video gained 1.5 million views, or plays in 15 days, a milestone for most small creators.

@redpill_daily posted another video on April 17th, 2023 of another ironic Sigma meme surrounding the theme of watching Young Sheldon in Portuguese. In this video, the Tiktoker says, “Do I watch Young Sheldon in Portuguese? Yes. Do I understand it? No. Your tiny Liberal brain wouldn’t get it.”

With these videos, the idea of watching Young Sheldon in Portuguese has become an ironic joke. Besides the jokes about Young Sheldon, I’m really invested in the show. At the time of writing this, I’m on Season 3, Episode 11, and I watch the show religiously. It’s slowly become one of my favorites and I suggest that everyone should watch it, especially in Portuguese.

The events of the “Conjuring” can be a bit misunderstood. You might have seen the movies but they are almost completely fiction. so I am going to tell you the story of what happened in 1971 with the Perron family in their house. What happened to them and why did it happen.

The Beginning

The beginning dates back to 1675 going back to the King Philip’s War that lasted from 1675-1678. The King Philip’s War was a war where Colonists relentlessly wanted more land from Native tribes. When they wouldn’t give land they went to war with tribes like the Narragansett, Wampanoag and many smaller tribes. The property that the house was on was “One of the bloodiest battles during King Philip’s War.” When one of the Perrons’ daughters heard from a spirit that there were 7 dead soldiers in the wall. Later they found 5 bodies around the property.

The “Dark Times”

The “Dark times” happened in around the 1830s-1870s when someone named Bathsheba Sherman who was believed to be a witch because of the things she was accused of. She was accused of murdering babies with sewing needles at night. After Bathsheba Sherman died, “her malevolent supposedly haunted the house.” The house was already home to a bunch of tragedies like the King Philip’s War but what bathsheba sherman was accused of added a lot of more stuff to this property. Probably a lot more haunted stuff

The Hauntings

In June of 1970, Carolyn Perron found a farmhouse by accident. In December of 1970, the Perrons bought the house and on January 11th, 1971, Roger and Carolyn Perron with their kids Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cynthia, and April moved into a 3109 square foot house over an 8 acre property in Harrisville, Rhode Island. They had just moved in the house, and stuff already started to happen.

Throughout the 10 years that the Perrons lived here, they had experienced the paranormal in a way that has never been seen before from them. They were being scratched and tugged and touched and one of the kids would see the spirits haunting throughout the night some nights when they lived there. Sometimes the beds of the children would get pulled and the family would get harassed constantly by spirits.

All of these things led to demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren to investigate the house. They did a bunch of stuff like putting jingle bells on door handles and put microphones throughout the house to listen for paranormal stuff

In 1973, Carolyn Perron was acting really strange and the rest of the family didn’t know what to do. She had become really weird and the family was scared. The family thought she was possessed so they got Ed and Lorraine Warren. Since Ed Warren was a Priest, he performed an exorcism on her.

The Exorcism

The exorcism would take place in the Living room in which Carolyn Perron was tied up in a chair and Ed Warren started the exorcism. While Ed was doing the exorcism, it happened. The chair that Carolyn Perron was on was levitated and thrown 25 feet to the other room. The family was in shock and thought she was dead. Roger Perron was so mad at Ed and he kicked them out.

Present Day

Many people have investigated the house and the property trying to find out what happened, how it happened, and why it happened. Out of the many people who have investigated and how much they investigated, we know a bit more about why everything happened, who caused it, and why they wanted to do it.

Nikocado Avocado, born Nicholas Perry, is a mukbang-youtube star, someone who eats obscene amounts of food while recording themselves to post on the popular video-sharing website, YouTube.

Nicholas, a Ukrainian-American child was born on May 19, 1992 in Kherson, Ukraine. Although most of his early life is unknown, the YouTuber revealed in a podcast with fellow mukbanger and drama personnel, Trisha Paytas, that he was adopted shortly after his birth in 1992. Due to this adoption, he spent most of his life in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Soon after his adoption, he attended Lower Dauphin High School and picked up the violin as his new hobby.

Violin soon consumed Nicholas Perry’s life, picking up a job as a freelance violinist: playing at weddings and other events. He later moved to New York City to pursue a career playing in a Broadway Orchestra. Despite his excessive weight gain, Nikocado used to be an avid vegan. Joining many vegan activist groups on Facebook in 2014. He later met his boyfriend, now husband, Orlin Home, a Columbian-American man found inside one of those groups.

Since the men first met, they’ve been in many on-and-off relationships, often ending in nasty videos insulting each other. On the topic of videos, Nikocado started his YouTube career posting lifestyle-type vlogs, showing what he eats as a vegan daily. Soon after his channel blew up in the Vegan community, Niko started eating bigger portions of his meals, calling them, ¨food challenges¨ or ¨mukbangs¨.

These mukbangs consisted of the vegan substitutes of meat and dairy products like soy milk or tofu until eventually, Nicholas started eating dairy products again, neglecting his vegan lifestyle. He later noted that his sudden switch was because of health issues, claiming that he felt ¨weaker than ever¨. After this change, Nikocado had many problems with his physical and mental health , which he believed resulted from his switch from veganism to eating animal products, even though it sprouted from his excessive eating habits.

This was a pivotal moment in Nicholas’ career: the start of his rise to fame and the start of his weight gain. Nikocado started his daily mukbang series, eating monstrous amounts of fast food, such as Dominos, McDonalds, and many more fatty-restaurants. After Nicholas started these daily videos, the weight trailed behind him. At first, Niko claimed that the excessive weight gain was simply just water weight, and that it would pass on in a couple of days. This, however, was not the truth.

This caught up to him when he attended the Heart Attack Grill located in Downtown Las Vegas, where if you weigh over 350 lbs, you eat free. At the front of the establishment, there stands a gigantic scale, which Nicholas stepped on in his mukbang containing food from the grill. As he previously claimed, he weighed a solid 150 pounds, but soon his lie would prevail. He clocked in at just above 200 pounds, almost a full 50 pounds from what he had stated in past videos.

Despite his noticeable weight gain, Nikocado Avocado still pursued his YouTube journey, eating even more obscene amounts of food for his now 3.5 million subscribers across the platform. This extravagant weight increase came with its challenges though. Such as him having to ride around on a mobility scooter and many health disabilities. Even though he is drowning in cash from all of his excessive videos, Nicholas Perry is not in a good physical condition. This goes to show that you have to watch what you eat carefully, and to burn those calories once your body consumes them. For Nikocados case, he kept eating and eating, for it became his job.

Do you know who Harvey Hubbell the second is? He was an extraordinary inventor, his best invention is still used today, but in a more developed version, do you know what that is? It is the pull socket, since then it’s been modified into the electric socket, but the basic design of this invention is still used.

Harvey Hubbell’s way to success

Harvey Hubbell the second was born on December 20, 1857, in Brooklyn, New York. His birth was the key to the start of many of our advanced technologies,

Harvey Hubbell was the founder of a manufacturing facility in a loft on Middle Street in Bridgeport, 1888. His manufacturing business was an early success, but not long after, he would have greater success with invention.

In 1891, he invented the Separable Attachment-Plug, the electric switch design. This later developed to the pull-chain electric light socket, 1896.The pull-chain electric light socket was modified again on November 8, 1904. This was modified into a detachable electric plug, the first ever in the United States.

He died on December 17, 1927.

Harvey Hubbell the Third

When Harvey Hubbell the third’s father, Harvey Hubbell the second, died, he took over the manufacturing facility as president, and only when he was at the young of 26.

Bridgeport Library, said that, “The firm grew from a $1 million annual business in 1927 to a $21 million a year business in 1963.” Basically saying, Harvey Hubbell the third improved his father’s manufacturing businesses income drastically as he drove the company in a money making path that does good to the country while they’re at it.

Though his father did a lot for the company, Harvey Hubbell also invented many of the products. Even with new manufacturing devices, the pull socket was, of course, still the most remembered. Considering that it was a big step to advance in technology.

This business was a great success, acknowledging the fact that the business still stands today. The business is now named Hubbell Industries, and the headquarters is in Shelton Connecticut, but it is still found all over the world.

Next time you go to plug something in, or to charge a phone with a charger, think about how far back the electric plug went, and know that it was 1896, that man was a key role in charging your phone or getting technology access. Always be grateful for this man, who helped with our technology advancement, and all the others who helped with this invention. Along with the modifiers who make amazing technology for us.

There is a new season in Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 and they have added many new things in this season like a new battle pass, a collaboration with an anime called Attack on Titan, there are also new mechanics like dumpster diving and new weapons

In chapter 4 season 2 there will be a new battle pass which will include new skins such as Mystica, Eren Jaeger, and many more also there will be gun wraps, dances, and gliders with the collaboration there will be their own page in the battle pass that will include other styles of the Eren Jaeger and other skins from the anime like Mikasa Ackermann and Levi Ackermann and special gliders and pickaxes

There will be another collaboration with stranger things later in the season which will have skins from the show also gliders and pickaxes too there will be a live event that will let you go into the upside-down emotes that will be added

With the collaboration with Attack on Titan there will be new things added to the game like characters from the anime gliders and Pickaxes also in the battle royale mode they have added weapons like the ODM gear and thunder spears which you can get from special chests the ODM gear will allow you to fly around by grappling around and swords are included with the gear the thunder spears are these big spears that you will throw and they will explode there will be titans that will roam the map that will try to eat you to kill these titans you need to hit them in the nape with a weapon or the ODM gear there are containers that will let you transform into a titan and use the titan’s abilities there are 9 different titans that you can transform into

New things they have added to the game are dumpster diving which is where go in the dumpster but sitting in it will have loot come out and the longer you stay in the dumpster the more loot that will come out there are also rails that have been added around the map that allow you to grind on them the map has been given a japan look there will also be new weapons like a sword, assault rifle, pulse rifle, and a pump shotgun. And then also the ODM gear and thunder spears from the collaboration fall damage have also been removed from the game and there are different types of shields that you can pick up off the ground and upgrade by doing damage there will be a new game mode where the weapons are only mithics like the spiderman gloves and the lightsabers

And in Save the World the zombies have been made faster and stronger there are new weapons like a pumpkin RPG and an assault rifle you can now teleport around your island and swords have been added

And this is what you are going to expect in this new Fortnite season chapter 4 season 2

Jared Goff is a 24 year old quarterback for the Detroit Lions, Standing at 6 ‘4” and weighing 222 lbs. He is a very accurate thrower and is very smart when he is passing to a wide receiver. Goff has many highlights in his NFL career and is making the Lions become a lot better of a team. And a bonus, he has a very fast throw. He is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL.

Tua Tagovailoa plays as quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. His height is 6’ 1” and weighs 216 lbs at age 25. His highlights are very great along with his stats during games. He has a very fast throwing arm and is very accurate with his arm. The downside to this quarterback is he gets injured very easily. But when he is not hurt, he carries the team to a victory and touchdown in a game. Not only do the Dolphins have Tyreek Hill, but they also have one of the best quarterbacks in football.

Justin Fields is a 6’ 3” quarterback weighing at 227 at age 24. He plays for the Chicago Bears and has really improved the team. He throws accurately and can throw very far as well. His stats have high ratings such as 79.7 in 2021, and as well with having 85.2 in 2022. His highlights are very good and he throws absolute dots to his receivers when they are open. And another reason he is one of the best is because of his fast throwing skills in the NFL. Placed at number 8 for the best quarterbacks.

Trevor Lawrance is 6’6” and only 23 years old. He weighs 220 lbs and has some of the best accuracy in the NFL. He plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars and makes incredible touchdowns for his team. In 2019, he won the national championship game as a freshman at Clemson University and set the school’s win record for quarterback throws. He has experience and has won awards in school. When he got drafted to the NFL, he immediately made his team better than before. Easily one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and possibly NFL history.

Lamar Jackson plays for the Baltimore Ravens as a 6’ 2′ ‘ quarterback who is 26 years old and 230lbs. He is known mostly for his accurate passes to his receivers. He has a fast throw and a long throw as well. He played college football at Louisville and won the Heisman Trophy during his sophom*ore year. He was also the first pick in the final pick for the Ravens in 2018 for the NFL.

Justin Herbert is a 6’ 6” quarterback who weighs 236 lbs at 25 years old. He plays for the Los Angeles Chargers and is an amazing thrower. He is accurate, fast, and his stats have been looking amazing. He won the NFL offensive rookie of the year as well as the Pepsi next year rookie of the year. A great reason why he is easily top 5 best quarterbacks.

Jalen Hurts plays for the Philadelphia Eagles as a 24 year old 6’ 1” quarterback who is 223 lbs. Jalen Hurts has great stats, amazing throwing power, and spectacular accuracy. He and his team have made the super bowl against the chiefs in 2023. His team is insane because not only do they have Devonte Smith, A.J Brown, and Jason Kelce, but they also have one of, if not, the best quarterback in the NFL.

Josh Allen is a 26 year old, 6’ 5”, 238 lbs quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. He is very smart during plays and makes the Bills multiple touchdowns. He throws very accurately and very fast as well. He and his team were one of the best during the 2022 season. He played in Wyoming, where he won the MVP and was selected seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills.

Joe Burrow plays for the Cincinnati Bengals and is 26 years old and has a standing height of 6’ 4” and weighs 216 lbs. He and his team made the superbowl back in February of 2022. He has amazing highlights and great, almost perfect, stats. He won the heisman trophy as well. He is truly one of the best in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes is a 27 year old quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He stands at 6’ 2” and weighs 225 lbs. He is the #1 quarterback of the NFL and maybe even all time. His stats are the best right now, his throwing abilities are almost perfect, and his highlights are unbelievable. Especially with a team like the Chiefs. Mahomes and his team won the super bowl in 2023 against the Eagles and Mahomes has won many awards in football. But Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL.

P.s, i forgot to add Aaron Rodgers on my list because he is leaving the Green Bay Packers. I will make a new update of this list and will put him in my top 10.

Queen Liliuokalani

This story takes place in the Hawaiian monarchy on January 17th, 1893. This was the day Queen Liliuokalani was illegally overthrown by the U.S.

Beginning

The first known Hawaiian settlers date back as late as the 8th century until the 18th century. In 1830, the sugar industry was introduced by white missionaries and got really big in Hawaii. But in 1840, the same white missionaries created a constitutional monarchy that basically stripped the Hawaiian monarchy of their authority and power.

In the year 1887, Pearl Harbor was established as a naval base as part of a new Hawaiian constitution. White missionaries and businessmen impacted the social and economic culture of Hawaii very negatively. Almost all culture was prohibited. Meaning the natives weren’t allowed to teach the language or Hula dances. Then in 1891, Liliuokalani, the sister of late King Kalakaua, took the throne and refused to recognize the constitution established in 1887. Instead, she replaced it with a constitution that increased her own personal authority.

Leading Up To

There was a lot of tension between the kingdom of Hawaii and the white business men/missionaries for quite some time. Between the white people trying to replace the government and the Hawaiin’s not taking any of it, there was a lot of unresolved political tension. Then, in January of 1893 Stanford B. Dole created the “Committee of Safety” and staged a coup(a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government) against the Queen.

A team of 13 caucasian missionaries/businessmen forced the queen to abdicate (renounce the throne) on January 17th. If queen Liliuokalani hadn’t decided to abdicate, there was a very big threat of bloodshed. She once stated, “I have pursued the path of peace and diplomatic discussion, and not that of internal strife.”She chose the peaceful way out.

Forever Queen

Queen Liliuokalani was extremely against the annexation of her land. She thought, “Hawaii for the Hawaiians.” which is pretty self explanatory. The land of Hawaii was for the people of Hawaii. She wasn’t being a nationalist, she was simply a devoted and loving queen. Liliuokalani wrote the song Aloha ‘oe, for those that don’t know in the Disney movie “Lilo and Stitch” this is the song that Nani sings to Lilo the night before she is to be taken away from Nani. It is a melancholy song of goodbye and until we meet again. The lyrics read:

There are many different backstories as to why and who she wrote the song about. But given the historical context, this song is to the people and is a huge part of Hawaiian culture.

Farewell

Queen Liliuokalani was a great ruler. Loved by her people, such a smart woman. The events that happened to her during her rule were cruel. Nevertheless, she was remarkable and shall forever be remembered. Aloha ‘oe, until we meet again.
